Maryanne Weatherill Ph.D., CCC-SLP holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Cognition and Development from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Auburn University. She has a medically-based clinical background with neurogenic communication and swallowing disorders in adult populations.

Research Interests:

Her research interests include understanding the relationship between motivation and adherence to treatment recommendations for adults with cognitive-linguistic disorders, and the translation of research into clinical practice. She is working as a member of Dr. Amy Rodriguez’s research team on the following projects:
  • Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) as an Adjuvant to Phonomotor Treatment for Aphasia
  • Intention Treatment for Anomia : Investigating Dose Frequency Effects and Predictors of Treatment Response to Improve Efficacy and Clinical Translation 
  • Atlanta VA Rehab R&D Center for Visual and Neurocognitive Rehabilitation Participant Registry 
  • Prism Adaptation and Left Brain Stroke Rehabilitation
