Aral is a Health Science Specialist at the Atlanta VA Center for Visual and Neurocognitive Rehabilitation (CVNR). She holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering and an MS in Neurobiology from René Descartes University in Paris, France. With over 10 years of research experience, her past work has focused on neuroimaging related to mental health conditions such as schizophrenia and autism, as well as the effects of alcohol and drugs on brain function. Previously, Aral served as a Lab Manager in the Imaging Genetics Informatics Lab under Dr. Jessica Turner at Georgia State University and as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute.
Research Interests:
Currently, Aral works under Dr. Anna Woodbury, investigating “Auricular Neuromodulation in Veterans with Fibromyalgia,” a study focused on pain management.
